Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition

As a member of the People & Culture Team, the Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition (TA) plays their part by providing support in recruiting the next generation of our colleagues to make a difference in the world, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and leading through the acquisition process. This is a position that requires someone who enjoys working both at project, strategic, and operational levels.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Supporting HRBPs and Business Line Leaders, manage and coordinate the Recruitment efforts for roles across business lines in the region with a focus on delivering new and innovative recruitment solutions to ensure we hit our hiring targets
Working on a high number and diverse set of vacancies across business lines, levels of seniority and geographies
Facilitate the recruitment process from job description through to offer stage
Create, build, and proactively maintain a pipeline of suitable candidates across the business lines via a variety of sources (eg. social media, university relations, LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, etc.)
Manage candidate applications through the recruitment process via our ATS (Teamtailor)
Drive recruitment process awareness and change management of our talent acquisition approach
Develop skills of the HR and Hiring Manager teams by coaching on all TA matters (interviewing, bias, I&D, talent intelligence, etc.)
Manage Candidate Experience of our future colleagues through proactive awareness, management, and promotion of our industry’s talent
Support special projects or assignments as needed
Own recruitment metrics and reporting
Build and interact with industry networks on LinkedIn
Act as a company ambassador, attracting the best possible talent for our organisation
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field of study or relevant experience as a talent acquisition or recruitment partner in several industries/sectors (sustainability, tech, finance, etc.)
- Understanding of core People & Culture processes, in particular, recruitment, staffing plans, performance management, compensation and benefits, and talent management
- Experience with high-volume recruitment
- Start-up mentality (flexible and entrepreneurial mindset, quick learner, ability to work in a fast-paced environment)
- Proactive and driven approach, able to identify challenges and suggest solutions in a self-starter way
- Able to understand business challenges and translate these into effective recruitment strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient English and Spanish language knowledge is required; any other language spoken in any of South Pole’s office locations is highly valued
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Experience in or passion for environmental issues and diversity & inclusion
