Job summary:
The Senior Specialist, Partnerships, Events & Webinars (PEW), MarComms will take ownership of the execution of in-person events, webinars and digital events in North America. This role will also play a critical role in developing the strategy, in collaboration with regional leadership and the Senior Manager, Global Communications and Regional Lead, North America. This role will focus on executing strategies that align with the company’s overall marketing and communications objectives while driving audience engagement and optimizing for performance.
This role provides the opportunity to further enhance the effectiveness of events, webinars and digital events across North America, making a strategic impact on overall business goals.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Strategy Development
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager, PEW to further develop and execute a regional marketing strategy for webinars, and in-person and digital events, ensuring alignment with the global MarComms strategy.
- Create and roll out diverse webinar and digital event formats suited to different stages of the marketing funnel and tailored to regional needs, with a focus on lead generation, brand awareness, and nurturing existing accounts.
- Identify critical regional events to attend and sponsor, aligned to the global marketing strategy, and execute delivery working in close collaboration with global and regional stakeholders
- Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices in webinar and digital event marketing to enhance strategies and ensure best-in-class execution.
Content Creation & Management
- Work closely with the product and brand teams to identify topics that align with both audience interests and business objectives.
- Repurpose webinar content across different marketing channels such as blog posts, social media, and email campaigns, ensuring broader reach and engagement.
Performance Optimization
- Partner with the Global Digital Growth Marketing team to leverage marketing automation tools for the promotion of webinars, registration management, and follow-up with attendees.
- Apply A/B testing, audience segmentation, and performance analysis to continuously optimize webinar campaigns and improve overall performance.
Execution & Production
- Oversee the full production cycle of webinars and digital events, including scheduling, content development, speaker coordination, and technical logistics.
- Ensure smooth execution of live events, manage troubleshooting, and facilitate audience interaction to deliver a seamless and engaging attendee experience.
Requirements:
Essential -
Previous experience of planning, organising and delivering: in-person hosted events, presence at sponsored events and conferences, webinars and virtual events
Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate different opinions and priorities
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work at pace and to adapt to changing dynamics
Solid understanding of the broader Marketing channel mix and the ability to build relationships across multiple teams
A strong team player, self starter with the ability to take initiative
Strong analytical skills to track performance, measure effectiveness and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement
Innovative mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo, generate new ideas and enhance the impact of our partnerships, events and webinars
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable -
Previous experience in partnership and membership marketing
Understanding of the climate action space and market in North America
Previous experience of working in a global matrix organisation
Passion for and experience in climate change, climate finance, or related fields
Commercial outlook and experience of inputting on strategy and budget
