Job summary:

As a Market Research Specialist, you are responsible for executing all incoming market research tasks. You will play an active role in managing and maintaining the prospect databases and ensuring Salesforce accurately reflects our best view of the market. You will engage with the wider Marketing and Sales teams to present the information in the right tools and through learning sessions in collaboration with the senior market research specialist. You will prepare target lists and conduct background research to support campaign development, using the company segmentation model, different personas and different industries and regions. In addition, you will do research background information on newly identified leads to brief the key account and business development team.


 Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Execution of all incoming market research tasks 
  • Actively communicate the various data sources to marketing and sales with adequate dashboards and mini learning sessions 
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis 
  • Maintain the prospect database by ensuring all targeted segments data in each region 
  • Research market potential for conducting campaigns in different industry sectors
  • Screen tenders on a regular basis and provide an outcome to business development 
  • Conduct internet-based market research to identify contact details of potential leads 
  • Research background information about identified leads so as to brief the key account/business development team ensuring they are up to speed for directly approaching potential clients 
  • Ensure all Market Insight is effectively stored and accessible in Salesforce 
  • Develop and oversee further development of other Customer Insight systems

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Masters degree in a related discipline such as Marketing, Management, or Business Administration 
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in market research 
  • Experience conducting high quality market research activities and reports 
  • Good understanding of market research activities and how those link to new business generation 
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management, preferably using Salesforce or a similar system 
  • Proficiency in English Excellent written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately to the specific audience 
  • Excellent skills in handling spreadsheets such as GoogleSheets and Excel 
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team as well as independently 
  • Holder of national passport in Indonesia

Desirable:

  • Eagerness to grow and learn in an evolving environment 
  • Good planning skills Ideally proficiency in other data analytics and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, GDS, etc 
  • Good working knowledge of all Google Suite and MS Office applications 
  • Diligent, reliable, and proactive 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment 
  • Passion for environmental issues and understanding of sustainability, CSR and related topics
