Job summary:

As part of the Renewable Energy Services team within the Consultancy & Services Unit, you will focus on the delivery of high quality consultancy mandates. You will develop renewable energy strategies and advise corporates on the implementation of renewable energy solutions (green tariffs, energy attribute certificates (EACs), corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs), on-site renewables, alternative fuels). As a Consultant you will be responsible for the implementation of mandates, lead the development of proposals and participate in business development activities. This is a fast growing and dynamic business area with global market potential. 


Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Implement and project manage consulting mandates for international clients
  • Plan consulting mandates with necessary know-how and skill set to ensure the most efficient and 
highest quality implementation 

  • Develop proposals with the responsible key account managers and senior consulting staff

  • Interact with and build relationships with clients and manage the delivery of corporate consulting mandates on corporate climate risks and opportunities
  • Support senior consulting staff and our key account management team in business development in the corporate sector
  • Support senior consulting staff and key account management team to further develop thought leadership, services and marketing materials, to develop further our corporate offerings
  • Interact closely with our international internal team of consultants
  • Topics of engagement may include: global renewable energy strategies, RE100 roadmaps, energy attribute certificates, green tariffs, corporate PPAs, on-site renewables, RE100 compliance and CDP/RE100 reporting.

Profile Requirements:

  • A university degree, ideally in topics such as energy markets, engineering, business management, environmental or sustainability related disciplines 
  • Relevant work experience (the expectation is between 3 and 6 years) in energy trading, energy procurement, renewable energy or sustainability working for a utility, trading house, corporate, project developer or a consultancy
  • Relevant corporate consulting experience. In particular, experience in advising corporates on PPA transactions.
  • Sound understanding of energy markets and the procurement of energy.
  • Understanding of renewable energy challenges in multinational companies
  • Experience in advising on renewable energy sourcing strategies and/or EACs markets would be beneficial
  • Experienced project manager in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geographies context
  • Commercial skills and good business sense to be able to identify and seize opportunities in a challenging and competitive market environment
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English (mother tongue or equivalent)
