Job summary:

The Global Head of Finance provides strategic leadership and direction to the global finance team. Reporting to the COO, you will identify and drive best practices in a variety of areas such as accounting, financial planning, management reporting, treasury, tax, risk management, and financial performance management, in order to achieve optimised business decisions. As a people manager and functional leader, you will be responsible and accountable for building, guiding and developing a strong global finance team that is able to successfully tackle the evolving challenges of a rapidly growing organisation.


Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for global finance, performance management, and risk management
  • Lead the creation of scalable best practices across Finance that sustain rapid organisational growth 
  • Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables of all financial operations 
  • Lead the design and implementation of financial KPIs and reports 
  • Oversee the production of management information, and performance analysis
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in areas like innovation accounting, or continuous planning / budgeting 
  • Driving and coordinating the financial business planning process and ensuring that the financial dimensions are aligned with the company priorities while involving and creating commitment among stakeholders when setting goals 
  • Maintain Company Risk Management 
  • Promote and drive a spirit of continuous improvement across finance 
  • Overall management, development, and growth of the finance team, ensuring effective organisational design, headcount planning, performance management and engagement of staff under your responsibility

Requirements:

Essential

  • Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in comparable roles 
  • Experience of setting the Finance vision and forward planning for a fast growing business
  • Strong track record in partnering with an executive team 
  • Ability to articulate highly complex information in an elegantly simplified manner
  • Ability to present own ideas to leadership team and appropriately challenge status quo
  • Strategic planning and business planning skills, ability to drive a vision and plan functional resources towards it 
  • Knowledge of Agile Development 
  • Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be an inspirational leader 
  • Experience in leading teams across geographies 
  • Hands-on and comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Desirable - 

  •  Professional proficiency in German and/or French is of advantage
