Job summary:

As a member of our Finance team, you are fully responsible for the process of Accounts Payable (AP) and the Accounts Receivable (AR) in the Netherlands specifically focused on our new Trading entity. In coordination with other South Pole employees across the globe, you ensure accurate and timely management of all related transactions. 

The position stands out by the possibility to learn on the job and the ability to gain new skills as you grow in your role. In addition, you assist in closings, are involved in specific accounting projects and collaborate in process improvements, amongst others. Main tasks & responsibilities:

• Receiving and reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness

• Manage approval process of incoming supplier invoices

• Liaise with the trading backoffice to ensure timely payment of supplier invoices

• Reconcile general ledger accounts

• Coordinate daily business and specific projects with employees around the globe

• Administer accounts receivables process independently

• Collaboration in the dunning process

• Actively support the finance team with monthly, quarterly and annual closing

• You may also be responsible in assisting the monitoring and managing the cash flow forecast and ensuring that all payments are made on time

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in the field of Accounting

• High-energy, flexible and responsive working style

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent English skills

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, other departments, and team members

• EU national, or holder of a valid work visa in the Netherlands
