Procurement Operations Coordinator - Carbon Market

Our Portfolio Management team oversees and develops business for the sale and trading of carbon credits and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). By working collaboratively with both our internal Sales and Projects teams, we play a crucial role in balancing the demand and supply of certificates, in order to best match the needs of our clients with our sourcing capabilities. In this case, we are looking for a detail-oriented procurement operations coordinator to join the carbon market, one of the world’s fastest developing commodity markets. Your focus will be to work closely with the Projects & Markets team and engage in day to day activities that enable business processes and functions to run smoothly. The role requires exceptional organisational, time management and project tracking abilities, complemented by strong communication skills. This role plays an integral part in aligning the different business elements and making an impact on climate change.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Align with the procurement team to create, document and execute contracts and agreements between South Pole and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure strong communication channels with key stakeholders 
  • Assisting with project management by creating assignments, tracking progress and resolving issues 
  • Participate in weekly alignment meetings with our accounting, registries and portfolio teams to track progress and resolve issues 
  • Assist with commercial decisions by providing and documenting data from external sources 
  • Support in providing an overview of pipeline business based on the activities of the Projects & Markets team.



  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred 
  • 2-3 years experience working in a similar environment 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in carbon markets is an advantage 
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills 
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for business
  • Willingness to take the initiative with minimal supervision  
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Good knowledge of Google Suite
