The Fund Management team is responsible for developing and managing sustainable impact funds, as well as other facilities, vehicles and platforms for investments in climate action. Our scope of expertise covers a variety of topics related to sustainable land-use, low-carbon energy, climate-smart cities and/or clean technology, to name just a few. Job summary:

As Fundraising Manager, Public Funding, you will support our Director Public Sector EU in general tasks related to the organisation of the fundraising process, including research on public funding opportunities and related policies, and drafting papers, proposals and presentations. You will also be a key pillar for the administrative work of the fundraising process and manage our data entries and database systems for key public contacts and key partners in the process. 

To further strengthen our team, we are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Fundraising Manager to support the growing team of our Innovation Unit. Join an international, multidisciplinary, growing team dedicated to developing effective solutions to stimulate private sector investment in climate change adaptation, climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and inclusive sustainable development by raising grant funding from the public sector for our strategic priorities. 

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Lead research activities for public grant funding opportunities for relevant public grant funding programmes with a focus on R&D&I (Research & Development & Innovation)
  • Manage and lead our partner research/screening for funding programmes in different countries 
  • Manage Salesforce entries for donor and partner information, contacts and exchange to Salesforce 
  • Compile presentations, reference lists, fact sheets, qualification statements 
  • Develop proposal and EOLS in close collaboration with your colleagues 
  • Coordinate and guide proposal writing procedures 
  • Compile fact sheets, qualification statements and other documents relevant for the engagement with governments 



  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in engaging with the public sector, raising fund or public affairs/policy engagement 
  • Experience in identifying public funding opportunities online 
  • Excellent research skills, research experience and attention to detail 
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills 
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or other CRM systems is a must
  • Managing research activities for public grant funding opportunities 
  • Education in climate, biodiversity, environmental topics and policy 
  • Interest in climate and biodiversity policy and in government’s funding streams 
  • Affinity to research and innovation 
  • Action orientation with a sense for business development and a good eye for new opportunities 
  • Excellent English writing skills (proposal writing)


  • Knowledge/background with German or UK governments (in the field of climate/environment) is an advantage 
  • Excellent German, Dutch or French language skills 
  • Experience in fundraising with public entities
