Job summary:

In this global role, you will work with data across the entire employee lifecycle to drive more impactful people decisions throughout all countries South Pole is established. You will help to build a robust analytics platform, playing a key role in the HR analytics strategic planning and deployment. By driving the transition of the people analytics capability from ad-hoc reporting into a predictive and trend-focused approach across talent acquisition, onboarding, development, engagement, rewards, retention, and off-boarding, you will help enable internal stakeholders to make better decisions around South Pole’s needs. 

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance and maintain the HR dataset to ensure best practices are followed for data capture and tracking.
  • Create and optimize HR reporting and dashboards to meet business requirements and develop opportunities for automation, improvements, and scalability.
  • Deliver analytics solutions that promote self-service with a pleasant user experience, and eliminates ad-hoc requests.
  • Survey design, deployment, and analysis. Including employee engagement, performance reviews, overall health, and onboarding/exit interviews to gain employee feedback
  • Implement predictive and prescriptive models to solve business problems, being able to translate the outcomes to a non-specialist audience.
  • Develop a method that allows South Pole to measure and quantify the business value and impact of HR initiatives.
  • Partner with subject matter experts for HR systems assessment, implementation, and optimisation (ERP, ATS, HRIS, LMS, others). 
  • Provide support to HR in the definition and usage of data, reporting, and dash boarding tools.
  • Collaborate with the central data team/ IT teams to establish people data warehouse and data structure.
  • Ensure that all data is stored and shared in a confidential and compliant way, adhering to the General Data Protection Regulations. 


You have a can-do attitude and a strong focus on possibilities instead of limitations. You are passionate about making a difference and you have the willingness and the drive to build relationships in a global context. You are a humble team player with cultural flair and a well-developed curiosity about other people and their motivations.

  • 5+ years of working experience with large and diverse datasets – preferable people data.
  • Played key roles in HR Analytics projects.
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Google DS, Tableau, Visier, Sisense, etc.) Machine learning principles would be an advantage.
  • R, Python, and/or data management language experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of automation workflows, API's and data modeling.
  • Able to synthesise data to provide digestible analytical insights and data-driven solutions.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking prioritising and time zones management are necessary.
  • High level of ownership and resilience to find solutions and recommendations during periods of fast business growth/transformation.
  • Proficient English, both oral and written mandatory; any other language spoken in any of South Pole’s office locations would be advantageous.
