Job summary:
As a Business Development Manager, Climate Solutions, you will grow South Pole’s business in Germany. You support our team in matching our climate solutions offering with corporate clients needs, helping them to progress on their climate journey and to take bold climate action. If you are an enthusiastic and dynamic sustainability professional with relevant experience in business development, client relationship management and sustainability solutions, then we are looking for you.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Play an active role in growing new business opportunities by winning new clients and expanding to new markets
- Understand clients needs and their stakeholder environment to identify business development opportunities
- Write compelling proposals and close deals
- Support the Key Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction by maintaining the high-quality standard of our services and anticipating their expectations
- Participate in targeted client communication and joint marketing activities
- Participate in client meetings, conferences and trade shows
- Contribute to the sustainable commercial success of the team and the company
- Share proactively know-how and market feedback within the company
- Support with GHG Accountings
Requirements:
Essential -
- University degree in Sustainability Economics/Management, Business Administration, International Business/Relations, Environmental Science, Agronomy or similar
- Relevant knowledge of carbon market and corporate sustainability
- At least one year corporate experience in the field of sustainability, CSR, environment, climate change or renewable energy
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written), French or Italian is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative
Desirable -
- Track record in meeting client expectations
- International business experience and willingness to travel (mainly Europe)
- Distinct analytical and conceptual abilities, familiar with relevant sales software (CRM)
- Advanced skills in GSuite, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- GHG Accounting experience
