Job summary:

We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Contracts Specialist to join the growing Contracts Management Team. As part of this team the Contracts Specialist will support the business throughout the sales and contracting process and provide effective and efficient contracting support to internal stakeholders whilst also mitigating any potential risk to the company.


Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Review a variety of contracts such as NDA’s, service agreements, subcontracts and sale and purchase agreements based on South Poles defined standards. 
  • Assist with risk assessments of proposed contractual terms and conditions, with recommendations to minimise their potential risk to the business. 
  • Support the sales team with requests for proposal requirements. 
  • As part of the wider Contract Management team, establish new and improve existing contracting and sales processes within the business. 
  • As part of the wider Contracts Management team, support with training and guidance to business personnel on contracting policies and procedures. 
  • Other related tasks to meet business needs where required. 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law  
  • A minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a contract specialist, contracts assistant or related position. 
  • Experience of reviewing and negotiating contracts under French Law
  • Excellent written and oral command of both English and French. Proficiency in other languages would be an advantage
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work on own initiative 
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills 
  • Good judgement in balancing business and commercial needs and potential risks/exposures with counter party requirements 
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
